Just because what you and others are used to feels normal and “safe” doesn’t mean it’s safe or healthy…

Finding Movement has been a really big part of fin

Finding Movement has been a really big part of finding my voice.
Our family value of Movement started with kids and my husband. They were were always pretty athletic. I came a little late to the movement party…
I always thought fitness was about looks. And I felt like no matter what I did, I would never look anything but foolish trying to be fit… My drive for emotional and physical comfort kept me from moving much at all.
I still remember the day I decided I was tired of feeling like I was I was 90 while still in my 30s. I wasn’t at ALL comfortable!
So I joined an early morning training group—I was the youngest and the weakest (by far) in the group. I started by lifting a pvc pipe 🤪 but little by little I grew stronger.
Looking back, I can see that by choosing not to move my body, I was choosing to stifle my voice.
Can anyone else relate?! Tell me your thoughts!

“Dance” is a metaphor for whatever you are resisting—but that your heart and soul is longing to do. Sing, dance, reach out to a friend or loved one, start a business…
I know it’s easier said than done. I also know that it is possible (and super freeing!) to let yourself “Dance” like no one is watching
… because, really, everyone else is too busy worrying about themselves to worry about what you’re doing, anyway.

Being a Mom has taught me that my VOICE is not on

Being a Mom has taught me
that my VOICE is not only powerful but also necessary.
Having the courage to show up and speak up encourages my Kids know that it’s ok to matter.
that their voice is valid and important.
and that they add value to our family just because of who they are!

(But I mean… Snow!)
It’’s so representative, though, of how I do life a lot of the time.🤪🫣
I seem to always be slipping or falling or doing something awkward that I could totally spend the rest of the day or week or year feeling embarrassed about.
I could cry…
And I often do.
Laughing it off feels a lot better. 😊
Falling doesn’t mean much more than that I am human… and the way I think about it makes all the difference.
